Recycling and waste collections
Update: Friday 7 June 2024
We would like to thank all residents for their continued efforts with the new recycling system this week, over 95% of planned recycling and waste collections have been completed in the first four days of service.
Our waste crews have worked long hours to catch up with this week’s missed collections, and we would like to thank you again for your patience, it is really appreciated. There will be no further collections over the weekend, so if your waste and recycling containers have not been emptied, please leave them out again next week on your collection date, where they will be emptied by our crews. If your containers are now full, and you have more recycling, please continue to separate them in suitable containers or bags and present them on your next collection day. Our crews will collect this as 'side waste' next week.
If you are contacting the contact centre, or using your local library to report a query, we ask that you please be kind and courteous to our staff, who are trying their best to help you.
We once again would like to thank all residents for their continued support and patience during the first week of the new system.
Recycling and waste changes: Textile collections
Unfortunately, the supply of bags for the optional textile collection service is unlikely to arrive until the end of June. This means they have not been included in the delivery of your Trolibocs or reusable bags, and that the textiles collection service will start at a later date.
When the bags arrive, you will be able to collect them from your local library or One Stop Shop or call the customer contact centre 01824 706000 to have one posted out to you. Keep an eye out on our social media, or check the website to find out when the service will begin.
