I am not getting notifications on my phone. The videos all say to go to settings, notifications, general notifications ..... that's where I get stuck. I have no general notifications!

To get notifications, go into Settings | Events | Seen events for your doorbell in the Google Home app and turn on the events you want recorded, and then for each of those, turn on "Your notifications".

To get notifications when the doorbell button is pressed, to into Settings | Notifications for your doorbell and turn on "Push notifications".

Also, on your iPhone, under Settings | Notifications | Google Home, you should have "Allow Notifications" and "Time Sensitive Notifications" turned on, and whatever other options you want.

Thank you, I’m currently talking to the tech team as these are turned on but I don’t have a list of events to select from. Very frustrating

In your first post it sounds like you are going to the iPhone settings.  I think  you need to be looking at the settings inside the app you are using.

I’m using the app. The tech team are struggling to sort it! I can’t turn notifications on and the list in notifications for the zone I set says: Choose which events you want to be notified about in this zone, and there’s no list! I’ve been escalated to the engineering team!

Under Settings | Events | Video history for your doorbell, which option (as shown below) is selected?  With a battery doorbell, you won't have the last option:

Under Settings | Events | Seen events, you should see options like this, UNLESS you have "No video history" checked above.

OMG, I’ve just rung the bell and it binged on my phone and there was a banner! It doesn’t look like the screenshot you sent but similar. Thank you so much, one OAP smiling right now 😊 still not detecting movement but this is an improvement for sure

@Brewerl

Hopefully motion alerts start working. Note that Google Nest cameras and doorbells all have some sort of "cooldown" period, so you won't get multiple notifications within just a few minutes.

By any chance did you purchase this camera in a different country than you are using it?   I  know for example you can't buy a US version of the cameras and bring them to Europe.  They will sort of work but there will be a lot of problems similar to what you are description.

No, in the UK a couple of weeks ago
