On the road to WrestleMania to finish the story…
JohnRV· Review provided by jbhifi.com.au · March 24, 2024
Ever since WWE 2K22 was built from the ground up, it was a step in the right direction, while WWE 2K23 stepped further improving core gameplay, here we are now with WWE 2K24! I won’t talk about everything but this is another good game that will keep you playing for 1 year until the next installment. The 2K Showcase mode in my opinion should’ve featured more matches, at least 30, but still enjoyed the 21 matches for what it was. MyFaction mode took a different route which I thought was a good idea by alternating between one on one matches, two on two, and more instead of repetitive 8 person tag team matches. Just started playing MyRise which is my favourite mode and it is what you would expect from the previous 2 games. Overall, if you’ve been a long time fan of wrestling games like me, I highly recommend this game. Speaking of WrestleMania, cheers to 40 years! 🍻
[Rewarded Review] Great Game with lots of Legends & MyGM

WWE2k24 is awesome. There are lots of wrestlers, including many legends from the attitude and ruthless aggression eras. MYGM has more content than WWE2k23 did, and the MyFaction mode has been improved. There seems to be more evolution cards in MyFaction.

They added ambulance match, casket match, gauntlet match (3 types), and you can throw weapons now.

It is missing a couple wrestlers from 2k23 like Aliyah, Edge, Goldberg, etc. And there are some issues with who your wrestler attacks when in a tag team match.
Overall it is a better game with more content than last year's game.

Got a great deal on the game which is a bonus! On the whole this is a fun, enjoyable game with plenty of match types, modes and things to keep it engaging be-it couch co-op or single player. Most matches are fairly varied and a lot of fun and the presentation is good! The only things I would say are a) reversals are hugely overpowered and too frequent regardless of what character you select (perhaps having this more attribute/character based would improve it?!) and b) some of the controls can be a little clunky and slow in terms of response, mainly cause there's so much in there while so much is happening in a match at any one time. The recovery times also seem to be wildly inconsistent compared to the move that has occurred too and not always consistent with the current displayed damage/fatigue level. Again this is fairly nit picky in the grand scheme of things in the interest of balance and overall am enjoying the game.
