Goal-scoring superstar Vivianne Miedema is going to leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

The striker has spent seven years with the club - who are nicknamed the Gunners - scoring a whopping 125 goals in that time.

That's helped her to become the all-time top-scorer in Women's Super League history, with a total of 79 goals in the competition.

In a video, she said it had been an honour to represent the club and said "I would like to say thank you for making this chapter of my life so memorable".

The Netherlands international joined Arsenal from the German club Bayern Munich in 2017 and has played 172 times for the Gunners.

During her time with the club she's helped the team win plenty of trophies - the WSL Super League title in 2018-19 and three Women's League Cups.

She's picked up some individual awards too, lifting the Golden Boot twice, which is given to the player who scores the most goals in a season.

Edu Gaspar, who is the sporting director at Arsenal, said Miedema's performances for the club have been of the "highest quality".

However, this season has been tougher - Miedama has only managed to play 13 games for Arsenal this season after having surgery knee surgery in March.

She was also out of action for 10 months last year due to injury.

But the superstar says injuries and knocks never put her off - her first memory of playing was having her two front teeth knocked out in a challenge with a goalkeeper.

She said: "People might think 'You're crazy to want to play again after losing two teeth' but playing football is all I ever wanted to do."

Despite her recent injuries, BBC Sport expects lots of clubs to try and sign her - including Arsenal's rivals Manchester City.
