Driver pursued by police did 75mph with child in back
A motorist pursued by police when he failed to stop for officers after jumping a red light achieved speeds of 75mph while trying to make his getaway - all with an 18-month-old infant in the rear.
Demetrious Nikoloau, aged 28, of Bakewell Close in Coventry admitted a charge of dangerous driving and another of ill-treating and neglecting the child.
He also admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis following his arrest last August and driving while disqualified.
On top of a 28-month prison sentence, Warwick Crown Court disqualified him from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 42 months.
