Dr. Baucom passed on his reconstruction knowledge to Dr. Mina during her procedural/Mohs fellowship at Emory. Both doctors at Baucom & Mina Derm Surgery, LLC are known as experts in Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction. However, the locations of Baucom & Mina Derm Surgery, LLC also offer patients a variety of cosmetic procedures, and the doctors and staff bring this same top-notch level of care and commitment to helping patients look great.

Botox

Botox is an injectable neuromodulator treatment for reduction of fine wrinkles. Made of botulinum toxin type A, this popular wrinkle reducer blocks nerve signals to overworked muscles, letting them relax. As a result, crow’s feet, horizontal forehead lines, vertical brow wrinkles, and other signs of aging are effectively smoothed away.

Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are chemical-based skin treatments used to revitalize skin and correct various skin issues. After a chemical solution is applied to the superficial skin, the solution soaks into the skin layers. Depth of absorption varies based on the issues being treated. The layers of old and dead skin peel away, revealing fresh and clear skin.

Fat Transfer

A facial fat transfer is a method of filling in age-related skin imperfections using excess fat from other areas of the patient’s own body. Liposuction is used to harvest the fat cells, which are purified and then carefully injected. Results are long-lasting and very natural.

Fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable products formulated to restore skin volume, causing signs of aging to disappear. We offer Radiesse and Restylane for treatment of moderate to harsh age lines and facial depressions. Fillers can also be used for lip augmentation.

Liposuction

For effective fat reduction and body contouring, we provide liposuction. This process involves administering anesthesia, creating a small incision, and inserting a tool called a cannula. This tool loosens stubborn fat cells, which are removed using medical suction.

Microneedling (SkinPen®)

Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenation treatment used to address a wide variety of issues. It can treat sagging skin, stretch marks, cellulite, oversized pores, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and more. During a session, a SkinPen® device featuring several very fine needles is used to create microinjuries, stimulating collagen production.

Scar Revision

To reduce the appearance of scars, we perform scar revision procedures. There are a number of available techniques for scar reduction, from topical options to injections to incision-based procedures. We tailor your treatment to your specific case for personalized results.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive injection-based treatment for prominent veins. To get rid of unsightly veins, we inject a solution called a sclerosant, which collapses the walls of the vein. The damaged vein is then naturally absorbed by the body, restoring clear skin.

During a consultation for a cosmetic procedure, you will need to talk about your aesthetic goals. A physical examination will be conducted, and an evaluation of your medical records will also be part of your consultation.

Cosmetic procedure options will be recommended based on your goals. Each of these options will be explained in detail, and you can choose your preferred procedure. Once you have chosen a procedure, a customized treatment plan will be devised.

You will learn about the preparation steps (if necessary), the actual treatment session, aftercare, and cost. In addition, you may be able to look over photos of the potential results. The consultation will end by choosing a convenient date to schedule your cosmetic procedure.

All procedures in the practices’ offices are performed on an outpatient basis under only local anesthesia, so recovery can take place comfortably at home. The main office of Baucom & Mina Derm Surgery, LLC has a State and Medicare licensed Ambulatory Surgery Center, which means they can offer the most advanced procedures in dermatology, such as tumescent liposuction, fat transfers, and eyelid tucks (blepharoplasty) in a comfortable and safe environment.
