Overall this is a great treadmill for the price. There is not much research on which treadmills are better than others and I feel like ones such as this, which are mid-grade are all fairly comparable.

I researched treadmills extensively before I bought this one. As with almost all consumer product's do not buy the extended warranty as research shows it's not cost effective. I weigh about 200 lbs. my wife 115 and we collectively put about 25-35 miles a week on it.

-Assembly - easy, although REQUIRES 2 people it's heavy and awkward to lift

-Display panel- pretty good, fan goes over your head, speakers are low grade as you'd expect but better than nothing. Beeping is somewhat annoying loud.the safety magnet is too sensitive and I think may have poor wiring or some type of design flaw. If you barely touch it the treadmill will grind to a halt. The heart rate monitor is worthless and is grossly inaccurate.

-Running - provides a smooth solid running deck. although eventually started squeaking some.

-Maintenance - Definite weakness of this treadmill. You have to lube it with silicone VERY frequently.

Issues we had
- if I pressed on the panel around the buttons it would trigger the safety off function, pretty annoying, but it was under warranty at that time and they promptly fixed it.

-Basically it started requiring more power and started to only run on it when the TV on the same circuit was off. Then it would start shutting off on me and the circuit board would get extremely hot. Really only for me though not my wife. They recommended replacing the deck and belt. Was about $150, and solved the problem. So basically if you run a lot on this thing you have to keep it lubricated and optimized otherwise it will overheat. Somebody posted on here a web site to buy larger quantities of liquid silicone for cheaper, which I would recommend. In my opinion this really is a defect in the belt and deck they use. You should have to lubricate this think all the time for it to work properly, and most people aren't going to do it often enough and so they are going to wear out their belt quickly.

You will find that the simpler models that do not fold and ones that resemble the commercial ones in gyms are the best. I would recommend this treadmill to a friend, but I wish I had gotten a low end Precor, which my dad has and is way more solid and requires almost zero maintenance (he's had it for like 8 years and hasn't replaced the belt and it looks brand new, although he does use it quite as much as us). Granted they are double the price, but if you run more than 20 miles a week on it and/or are >190 lbs. may be worth considering

Update after 2 yrs and 8 months of ownership.
Still going strong, there is some kind of short with the safety button where if you barely touch it the treadmill freaks out and reboots a couple times. This hasn't prevented us from running on it almost everyday though.
