Good suction, well designed. Maybe a little heavy.
The only downside (upside) is that the green light reveals dirt exceptionally well. That can make it hard to stop cleaning when you do a spot clean, since when you are using it you can see how dirty the floor is even in places you might not have seen the dust (with my old eyes). Expensive, but an excellent tool.

Life changing!
I used to think my house was clean until I bought this! Who knew how fast and how much dust can accumulate in just a few days. Before this, I had a Miele upright but got tired of managing the cord (which used to wedge itself under furniture).The Gen5 Detect is amazing at picking up debris and the green laser will reveal THE TRUTH about your hard surface floors. I love that it is operated with a button instead of a trigger.I didn’t have room to store it on a wall so I almost didn’t buy it, but I decided to store it deconstructed on a shelf in my office closet with all the attachments in a clear bin on the self next to it. This works great and I can still keep it plugged in since my closet has an outlet. (I share this incase anyone else has limited wall space.)I bought a second battery almost immediately. Since I didn’t have a cordless or handheld vac before, there was a lot to clean around here and I needed to clean for several hours at a time. Don’t hesitate, just get it! Now I wan to buy one for my parent’s house.
