I got this vacuum for the sole purpose of cleaning up any tracked Cat litter my two cats may have kicked up on their way our of their litter box but find myself using for not only that small little spots that need a touch up on the carpet
Build: it’s made up of plastic off course to keep the hand held experience nice and light but it’s not cheap feeling plastic it’s definitely study to where a drop or two won’t end its career and the attachments provided also are well crafted
Suction : it’s suction is actually better than my current vacuum funny enough (it is 4 years old though ) it comes with two filters that’s recommend to be cleaned every month but with what I use it for I clean it every other week and so far it has not lost any power what so ever in the time I have had it , it’s picked up cat litter and things of that size really easily and hard to get items like pieces of sting that are packed into the carpet
Ease of use : You turn it on via a button and from there you can get to vacuuming away , it’s fairly light to me and my fiance we both have no trouble using it for extended periods of time
Overall I would say it’s worth the buy not only for pet use but for the car as it’s nice and compact for that as well or if you have any kids (not personally ) but I can see this working well if they drop some fruit loops on the carpet or such

Excellent overall, but also frustrating.
Much to my dismay, my 8 year old Shark handheld vacuum finally died recently - not surprising since it was so old and used multiple times daily, but I was still sad to find that the exact same model is no longer made. I'm autistic and I don't generally do well with "change"...even if the new item may be an upgrade. This particular newer model of Shark handheld seemed like the closest thing to my old beloved original Shark.Overall, I really like this new handheld Shark. Suction is definitely more powerful than my previous one, and the two attachments that come with it are helpful. The attachments from my old model do not fit on the new one. This new one is much slimmer design and more lightweight - both improvements from my old model.I appreciate that, like my old one, the power button can be slid on and off and kept in that position, you don't need to constantly hold the power button down while using the vacuum, which is very annoying but for some reason some other popular brands of handheld vacuums still insist on using that style. However, I do not like this style of power button...unlike my old one, this button is recessed and very low profile, and difficult to switch up or down. I actually have to use both hands to flip the switch, which is quite inconvenient while cleaning messes - and it still hurts my hand! The old model had a raised power button that was so much easier to push into position. I wish they would have kept that former design! (Attaching a photo comparison of the two different styles of vacuums in this review so you can see the power button differences).All in all, this is a great handheld vacuum at the price point. It cleans cat litter, crumbs, cat hair and dust bunnies with ease and seems to have good battery life. My only complaint is the difficult to push power button, which is enough of an annoyance that I have to dock a star from the review. Still worth the money, but I hope they rethink this button design in the future.

We've had this vacuum for less than a year. It has a nice set of attachments. Suction is pretty decent for a unit of this size. The pet hair/carpet rolling suction attachment is a nice idea but it's not super effective in getting off cat and fine dog hair. It probably would be okay for thicker hair. It's clearly a bit more premium than the cheaper units you can find at Amazon. Build quality generally is okay, and the unit has a nice weight and balance to it.
The worst thing about this vacuum is that it's incredibly fragile. Over repeated inserting and removal of the different attachments the tip shattered. As far as I can tell it's not replaceable. We use this maybe 1x a week, so it's not due to heavy use. Looking at this, once the tip shatters further, it's over, that's the end of the unit because you can't attach anything to it. The cracks are slowly making their way down the side and it's a matter of time (a few months?) before we won't be able to use this unit anymore.
Other things that aren't deal breakers but aren't great either: (1) the cleanout buttons get stuck really easily and it can take a lot of strength to pop open the buttons. My mother for instance can't push hard enough with her hands and has to gets spoon or something to pop it open, and my wife struggles to open it. (2) the lack of an affordable mount is just silly. If you call them up you'll be told it costs like $30 total to get a base you can plug this into. It makes this unit much less aesthetic and inconvenient than other systems that come with a base, or have an affordable base that isn't 3/5 the cost of the vacuum. I wouldn't take any stars off for this though, you should expect it as it's pretty clear there is no base or mount for this thing. Still, c'mon Shark, you're kind of a premium brand compared to other vacuums you can get around here. (3) The suction isn't bad but isn't awesome and has been getting worse over time -- and it's been less than a year as I mentioned. Might be the broken tip, might be fading batteries. Neither are great. (4) as some other reviewers mentioned the suction comes out of a very small tip which makes surface cleaning tedious because you have a small high suction strip or a wide low section bar.
