I’ve made homemade ice cream, Italian Ice, and gelato in a month of buying this ice cream maker. It’s amazing and we enjoy having clean ingredient frozen sweet treats. The 2qt size is perfect for a family. So far I’ve made vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate covered toasted coconut, salted caramel gelato, Italian lemon ice, and strawberry Italian ice. Tastes the best same day after being in the freezer for a few hours. It’s quiet enough, and easy to clean. Be sure to give the container at least 36 hrs to freeze inbetween batches. Enjoy!

I struggled between buying a Cuisinart vs Ninja. I love Ninja products, but read too many review of the Ninja Ice cream maker having plastic parts breaking and ending up in the ice cream. That was the main reason I chose Cuisinart and I haven't regretted it for a minute. It is easy to use and makes amazing ice cream. The biggest down side is it is a bit noisy, but for the quality and the savings I can handle 20 minute of loudness.

After years of a handcrank ice cream maker, followed by several large bucket electric models i decided to buy this product as it seemed easy to use and a lot less hassle. Completely spot on. The machine came as advertised and I bought an additional replacement bowl in case we wanted 4 quarts instead of just 2 although 2 is plenty.

First of all, this machine has very few working parts and is easy to put together and use. It's not overly large and can easily fit in a pantry as the bowl, lid etc. all fit together so no need to store separately. It sits easilly on the kitchen counter and is sturdy. the machine didn't move or creep which is something i was concerned about in buying this. It stayed right in one spot.

I used a family recipe for the ice cream base, but the booklet that comes with the product has a lot of recipes in it and they look great. I'm going to try them. As for my batch, it came out perfect. I did freeze the bowl for almost 24 hours before starting the machine and I also started with very cold ice cream base. The bowl remained very cold throughout and even took almost the entire day to come back to room temp after the process was done and the ice cream was put in a container in the freezer.

For those that are having issues with ice cream spilling over, whenever you make ice cream you have to leave room in the container for expansion. I left about an inch and a half or so from the top. This worked out perfect. I pressed the ice cream setting and away it went, added my fruit when there was about 5 minutes left (don't add it too early or the fruit will settle to the bottom.) By the time it had finished the ice cream had reached the top of the bowl but had not spread into the housing at all.

The ice cream came out soft serve. It hardened up a bit after sitting overnight in the freezer. It's still not quite as hard as it would have been had I used the old fashioned bucket container with rocksalt and ice but it's firm enough and not soupy or soft serve. The texture is creamy and consistent through the whole batch.

Cleanup is a snap seriously. You just rinse out the bowl, the lid and paddle and you're done.

It is a bit noisy but all ice cream makers are. In my opinion this isn't a negative as it's common. The timer feature is nice, it counts down for you and has settings for gelato and sorbet as well.

Overall great product. highly recommended.

I’ve made homemade ice cream, Italian Ice, and gelato in a month of buying this ice cream maker. It’s amazing and we enjoy having clean ingredient frozen sweet treats. The 2qt size is perfect for a family. So far I’ve made vanilla, mint chocolate chip, chocolate covered toasted coconut, salted caramel gelato, Italian lemon ice, and strawberry Italian ice. Tastes the best same day after being in the freezer for a few hours. It’s quiet enough, and easy to clean. Be sure to give the container at least 36 hrs to freeze inbetween batches. Enjoy!

First - let's say I was "Conned" a bit - last time I checked, 2 quarts was 8 cups. Well, the most I've been able to get is about 5 or 6 cups of finished product without overflowing the machine. The advertisement says makes 2 quarts - just don't get your hopes up. The receipes they give in the user manual (which says makes about 7 cups) are for either 6 or 7 cups - but I'm only getting about 5/6 cups finished product from the makes 7 cups recipe and the machine almost overflows. So just plan accordingly if you want more ice cream per batch and are looking for a full 2 quarts you will not get that much.
Second con - this machine is super noisy. Thankfully it's done in about 25 minutes. But you can't have a conversation in the room with it on. Or hear a phone call.
Third con - it's very hard to get the frozen product out without making somewhat of a mess. The paddle is pretty hard to remove - I feel like it will break because it's kind of got a lot of product frozen around it - transferring the ice cream to an ice cream container is a bit messy. The bowl is still really cold so I have to wrap an dish towel around it to be able to hold it without my hand freezing to it. But then I just use the dish towel to wipe up all the little ice cream drops everywhere.
PROS - now if you do as it says and freeze the bowl overnight it works well. It is easy to pour in the mixed product and wait til last 5 minutes and put in nuts or chocolate chips or fruit etc. Nothing else to really do. If you use a good recipe, the final product tastes great.

Overall - I'm glad to be able to make ice cream INSIDE and not out on the deck with rock salt and overflowing water lol. But it's not quite a nice an experience as I'd hoped for - and doesn't really make 2 quarts as advertised. But if you love ice cream as much as this house hold does - I suppose it's an ok purchase. I kind of wish I'd tried the cheaper Cuisinart ICE-30BCP1 Ice Cream Maker, 2-Qt, Silver one first - because I haven't really found much of a use for the countdown timer - seems like a bell/whistle I don't really need which jacked up the price. I guess the only advantage is the kids can see how much longer before it's done but then I still have to tell them it's going in the freezer for another couple of hours lol. Save the $ and try the cheaper model first is my motherly advice.

 Nos encantó, yo utilizo la pura pulpa de la fruta con yogurt griego y queda excelente, igual las de agua quedan muy bien. Hice una de sandía con menta y quedó deliciosa y no fue necesario agregarle agua ya que la fruta tiene suficiente.

甘味料を市販のものより減らしてヘルシーなアイスを作ってくれたり、抹茶の粉末を混ぜたものを作ってくれたりしました。
食物アレルギーがあって市販のアイスを食べられない子供にお母さんが材料を工夫して作ってあげるとかできると思うのできっと喜ばれると思います。使いやすさもシンプルで特に問題ないと聞いてますが、中の容器を冷凍庫で冷やしておかないと使えないらしいので、それがまた結構な場所を取るようです。
