Strong magnet; poor install
The plates are thick which means good magnetic holding power. However, the install process does not work. You get a plate, a backing, and an alcohol wipe. The plate has 3M adhesive which is the best for what it does. Not sure what the backing sheet is for, but the instructions say to install it on the device. The alcohol is also questionable. So I went ahead and wiped the back of my device, installed the backing sheet, then install the magnet. It worked for about 10 minutes then the backing sheet came off the device and it fell. Removed the backing sheet and reattached the magnet and it is holding.So, get this plate because it is thick and holds well on a magnet, but throw everything else in the package away.
