Before this purchase, I purchased non-lithium ion rechargeable batteries which ended up not being compatible with my Xbox controller.

These batteries worked great in the Xbox controller and I love how easy it is to charge them without having a special adapter.

One thing to be aware of with lithium ion batteries is because they are so good at holding the same voltage, most if the time you won't get a low a battery warning and they will just instantly stop working.

I graded a star down at four stars because the first one purchased had one battery that didn't work. Luckily, they sent a replacement set out so I'm still a happy consumer and would purchase again.

3 of 8 batteries wouldn't charge

I ordered 2 packages of this product for a total of 8 batteries. 3 of those batteries wouldn't charge for me. 2 of those batteries would not display the led charging indicator, and one of those had the led charging indicator blink at an ultra fast (a lot faster than those that actually charged). After charging for a while my volt meter still showed 0 volts. Very disappointing on the high manufacturing failure rate. By the way, I tried various USB power adapters to make sure the charging process was getting enough amp's to charge. Also tried charging just one battery at a time.

Needless to say, I decide to return this item for a refund. Not worth my time to get a replacement! I have low confidence in how well they work. I'll look at some other manufacturer.

By the way, I was not able to charge these batteries using a 28W solar panel . I also was not able to charge these batteries from a battery pack. It initially looked like it was going to work, than the charging process stopped. My guess it that the battery is confused as to whether its charging or rather being charged. (A USB charging complexity that might not be implemented correctly!) Those that actually charged had to be done using a usb power adapter. I read that it might be a problem trying to charge from a PC usb port, but in my case, that wasn't a problem. You actually need the PC manufacturer spec on how much charging wattage that the usb port your using is providing; and the PC manufacturers make that had to find.

The description on the package describing the charging process talks about a red led indicator(flashing or solid). We'll it's actually a green led indicator. It's also not clear where the led indicator is located. In my case 2 of the bad batteries wouldn't display the led indicator. So when the led indicate is not working, your not sure where to look.

A no-compromise replacement for disposable AA’s.

These batteries are fantastic in medium power and below applications. Don’t trust any review that say otherwise.
I use these in many device types:
1. Blink Wireless Camera
2. Oculus Quest 2 controllers
3. Xbox controllers
4. TV remote control
5. A portable medical pump that needs fresh alkaline batteries every day. I get 3 days out of one charge of these AA cells.

Charging via USB-C is super convenient and they charge quickly, less than an hour from empty. I charge all 4 with the included 4X USB-C to 1X USB-A dongle. Wish the included dongle was USB-C on both ends.

I have saved over 700AA batteries in 6 months of using a single set of 4 of these AA cells.

As long as you keep them at discharge rates of less than 1 amp they are the ultimate replacement for alkaline and lithium disposable AA batteries.

I’m buying more now.
