Finally an option for a high quality humidifier that will last.
My old humidifier, the Aircare console, at the time was really the only option for an effective humidifier, but had so many issues. After only 2 weeks of owning it, the screen started showing the "EE" error code and would restart the fan over and over. They did send a replacement, however that one had the exact same issue a few months later and would happen off and on. The build quality wasn't great either, and felt very flimsy. But when it worked, it was really effective, boosted the humidity in my apartment from 20% to 50% in about an hour and sustained it well.
The 6000s' design and build feels much higher quality than the other options and it's extremely effective. My entire apartment went from 15% to 55% humidity in 45 minutes, and sustains that level more efficiently it seems. The noise level is also MUCH quieter on the 6000s than any other humidifier I've tried. The app is also really good, and gives alot of control. You have alot control over fan speed and humidity targets than other options as well. The design of the water tub is also very simple and easy to clean, compared to the aircare.
Overall it seems to be the best option for an evaporative humidifier and by far the highest quality. Will have to see the lifespan of the filters though. It's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Love/Hate Relationship
We purchased this humidifier because it doesn’t look like your typical evaporative humidifier. They also boast a 3 month filter life which when compared to the 3-4 week like of the filters in our previous evaporative humidifier seemed amazing! This device has a lot of things to love, but there are a few that we absolutely hate.Loves - We love that this keeps the humidity level where we set it on the auto setting. It’s also quiet compared to the larger, browner console humidifier we used previously. There’s no need to talk louder or turn the music or TV up because this doesn’t sound like a jet engine (exaggerated of course) when the humidity drops rapidly and it has to catch up. Living in the desert does have its disadvantages. Sometimes just opening the door long enough to let the dogs in and out can cause a large drop in humidity inside the home. Filling is easy with the included funnel which my husband calls the humidifier bong (beer bong pun). I also love that it holds up to 6 gallons where our previous console humidifier only held up to 4.Now for the Hates - The filters are supposed to last 3 months, but as you can see from the picture of the best looking of the 4, you would have to used distilled water for them to last 3 months. Today is 30 days from the set up date and you can see what the tap water is doing to the filters. Unfortunately, we can’t afford to buy 15-18 gallons of distilled water a week at $2.59 a gallon locally to keep this thing going and extend the filter life. The manufacturer also says not to use any water treatment products, but after 2-3 days (time between fills) there is consistently a pink slime from bacteria growth. I have to spray bleach into the bottom and clean thoroughly with each fill-up. It’s scary to know the bacteria is being dispersed into the air by the time it’s time for a refill. I’ve tried using less water in the reservoir, but after thinking about it, the reservoir doesn’t have exposure to air like our previous humidifier so all of the parts are constantly wet versus being able to dry out when the water levels drop. This promotes bacteria growth.I wish the manufacturer could solve the bacteria growth issue. We’ve tried using bacteriostatic treatment and it didn’t stop the issue. If anything, the water looked worse after adding the treatment to the reservoir. I can deal with buying the filters more frequently than anticipated if I know the air I’m breathing is safe.
