MSM Industries' Grip-It non slip area rug pads help keep rugs in place, prevent bunching and sliding, protect floor surfaces and provide extra cushion and comfort. With over 25 years of rug pad manufacturing experience, MSM Industries offers 15 styles of Grip-It rug pads to meet a wide variety of size and application requirements on hard surface or carpeted floors. All rug pads are easily trimmed to fit for custom sized area rugs and come with a 10 year guarantee to maintain non-slip properties with proper maintenance. Rug pads should only be used on clean, dry, and a fully cured floors. Do not use on lacquered, acrylic or porous surfaces. Please follow the flooring manufacturer's pad type recommendation. Damage to the finish could occur.

I've only had this rug pad for a few weeks, but so far so good! It is very, very thin, which is fine for what we are using it for -- under the dining room rag rug, which is flat and allows the chairs to slide in and out pretty easily. If you are looking for additional cushioning, I'd get one of the other (pricier) rug pads. But if you are just looking for a non-skid backing, this should work well. It's coated in natural rubber, which is supposed to be safe for your wood floors. It's over a polyester netting and is a bit thin in places, so if you are concerned about it wearing off, you may want to upgrade. For the price, I'm very happy with this pad so far.

When I bought my house in May 2016, everyone told me rug pads where so expensive. So naturally I went to amazon to find a deal and this was it! For the price, this is great. My rug does not slip or slid ever. I ordered a larger size than I needed and then cut it down. I then had some leftovers that I used all over my house! Backdoor rug, front door, etc and those have held up great as well. I would definitely purchase again.

To speak to some other reviews- I have laminate hardwoods and this has not left any residue at all. It is not super thick and cushy, but I didn't expect that. I have a wool rug and just needed something to hold it to the floor and it does the job. I do have a small dog who will sometimes runs down the stairs and lift part of the rug and pad, but it's never had any issues sticking back to the floor.
