I was replacing a tiny centre channel speaker that I'd never really liked, but put up with, because the original spot I had it in, it was really the only option that it fit into at the time.
I went looking for something at a reasonable price that could make voices sound like actual voices, instead of the tinny garbage I'd been growing tired of, and landed on this absolute beast.
Somehow I wasn't expecting the sheer size and weight of this thing. Then I plugged it in and gave it a go, and was floored by how much better it sounded than what I'd grown used to. Suddenly dialogue sounded like actual dialogue coming from humans, instead of a bad approximation. This thing is so good, I've noticed in a couple of TV shows that it faithfully reproduces bad mic setups (or weather) that occurred during filming, where you can obviously tell whoever mixed it was struggling to isolate voices.
This thing is absolutely bonkers, and totally worth the price, which honestly is still fairly reasonable.

Perfect Center Channel!! Beats Klipsch and Polk
I’ve sound tested many Center Channels, Towers, Subs, bookshelf speakers, Atmos Speakers, and amps in my amateur Home theater system to include the following centers: Klipsch RP-404C, Polk Audio Signature Elite ES35 Slim Center Channel Speaker, and the Polk Audio Reserve Series R350 Slim Center Channel. All were good but I am sticking with ELAC when compared to high end Klipsch and Polk products. The sound is smooth and natural, no artificial warmth or brightness is added and thats what I love the most about Elac! I think the magic behind Elac is that they don’t advertise to keep the price down and they care about high quality crossovers under the hood. Caution, this Center channel is HUGE! Which I’ve found the bigger the better in most cases! Im only powering the Elac Center with a 90 watt monolith amp and took my time breaking it in for 30-40 hours at Full Range per the manufacturer’s recommendations, which you don’t know what you’ll get with used speakers! If you want to invest in high quality great gear I would definitely recommend the Elac debut 2.0 setup, as pictured. I have the grills off but can’t really tell a difference with them on or off, which is great!

Here is a 5.1 setup in one of my smaller rooms. Both main and center speakers are ELAC 6.2. Put 2 rear small speakers behind a sofa. There is a Yamaha Subwoofer on the corner.
The C6.2 seems to be sensitive than B6.2. I adjusted center input -3dB.
Overall, ELAC 6.2s with Denon AVR-S770H provide nice sound, neutral, not much sound coloring, which I liked. I can always use EQ on the receiver to adjust but left unchanged. For music, mostly I use Direct stereo setting. For movies, I set Dolby Surround or others.
Made stands for 2 B6.2s. They are cut from one 8"x2"x8' pine at HD and I sanded them. Will paint them to matt black. Speakers are pretty heavy and not much vibrations. They stay on top of stands with some rubber footings no moving.
Highly recommended ELAC C6.2.

Great balance sounding center with dual 6" drivers. I'm running it with my Pioneer vsx-932. I wanted this so that the ports are front of the speaker and I may have the center up against the wall. Vocals are clear and can handle decent amount of bass without losing tone. It gets load enough for my room. Sounds better than my old Klipsch. Comes close to my Polk RTI. But my Polk LSIm are way better, but LSIm cost much more. This debut is a big solid well built and heavy box. Make sure you have room for it. I got my on sale before Christmas for a excellent sales price. Great value speaker for the money I spent.
