About this item

  • Exceptional Quality and Comfort - Crafted from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum, each 10-ounce trekking pole is more durable in blazing heat or frigid cold. Less likely to snap under pressure. Rubber grip tops are more comfortable than the hard plastic found on your buddy’s average trekking poles.
  • Quick Lock Mechanism - Designed with rugged terrain in mind. Easily adjust your trekking poles from 26”- 54” without breaking your stride.
  • Comfortable Non-slip EVA Grip - Ergonomically designed, the extended EVA down grip is unrivaled in size as it provides a considerable amount of space for hand placement, making steep inclines more bearable. Topped with a rubber cap for extraordinary comfort.
  • Conquer All Terrain and Conditions - Equipped with tungsten carbide tips for year-round hiking. The snow and mud baskets, boots, and tip covers are all made from rubber in order to provide gear that is more durable and longer lasting than cheap plastic accessories used by other brands.
  • Portable - Easily store and transport these lightweight trekking poles in your hiking pack or backpack with the included travel bag. Whether you are Nordic walking, day hiking, overnight hiking, or thru hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, bring your trekking poles with you on your next adventure.

Tip AccessoriesTip Accessories

Easy Quick Lock Mechanism

Before using your poles, make sure that your locks are firmly secured. While the tip is on the ground, test to ensure the lock is secure by pushing on the top of the handle so the tip presses into the ground. If your pole shortens while doing this then you need to readjust the height and tighten the lock more.

Step 1. Open Tab and Adjust

Fully open the quick lock tab and adjust to desired height.

Step 2. Tighten Thumbscrew

Tighten Thumbscrew by turning it 1/4" to 1/2" turns clockwise.

Step 3. Close Quick Lock Tab

Quick Lock Tab should be difficult to close when properly tightened.

Step 4. Test and Readjust

Apply weight to the pole. If pole begins to collapse, repeat steps 1-3 until it remains at desired height.

Which Grip is Right for You?

Walking or hiking your hands need to be comfortable for each trek. To help meet your needs our poles come in both EVA foam and cork grip options. Pick your grip and take your next trip with Cascade Mountain Tech poles.

  • Lowers the vibration with each step

Enduring terrain that requires a bit more support? Enhance your tungsten carbide tips with 4 sets of additional tips

Includes:

  • Boot Tips: Serve the same purpose as Rubber Tips with the added benefit of extra cushioning and propulsion on hard surfaces when Nordic walking.
  • Mud Baskets: When hiking in mud, sand or other soft surfaces, Mud Baskets allow the hiker to use trekking poles without the pole slipping into the soft ground. This provides leverage and saves energy during wet and sandy hikes.
  • Snow Baskets: When temperatures get chilly, prevent trekking poles from sinking into the snow
  • Rubber Tips: Perfect for indoor use and on hard or slippery surfaces. Some environmentally sensitive sites (such as Machu Picchu) require Rubber Tips in order to protect delicate terrain.

Note: Collapsible trekking poles should not be used for downhill or cross-country skiing.

Tips came off in Grand Canyon
Great sticks, sturdy and gets the job done. Used for the Grand Canyon Havasupai hike and somehow the tip came off of one stick halfway through the hike, and the other one came off in my car? I chose these sticks specifically for the cork handles, which were excellent. The foam handles on my old sticks would leave black residue on my hands from sweating. So these cork ones were a win. They were also lightweight and comfortable. But I hope my new tips stay on!

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect, inexpensive
Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2024
Very good quality, very comfortable grip.
The flip locks ("quick locks") give you reliable control and I strongly prefer them to the screw-together kind. Comfortable cork handle. On a first outing, absolutely no problems. There's a full set of rubber tips included (3 kinds, plus the integrated carbide tip itself).

My use:
Going uphill: I carry one stick (rather than strapping it to my bag) in a shortened position. That lets me brace on things without touching them or catch myself falling "up".
Going downhill: Extended to normal for my height + a little bit and I use it ahead of me to take strain off my knees and provide stability on loose surfaces.
Level ground: I typically don't use.

These are "basic" but everything you need in a hiking pole.
You're saving a lot of money and not losing anything by going with these instead of the big national brand-names. I would only use those (national brands) if you specifically need the ultra-compact design of "Z" hiking sticks, need a particular kind for your tent, or are sold on carbon-fiber's few ounces less weight.

I usually fly with only one stick unless it's going to be particularly strenuous or snowy.
For my fellow travelers, note the sticks WILL disaassemble (easily) to fit in a 22" rollaboard diagonally. It would probably be tight in a 22" spinner (which has a shorter body), and would not fit at all in a "international sized" carry-on.
(important considering how much more Z-frame collapsible hiking sticks cost)

Highly Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product at an Affordable Price
Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2024
Being new to trekking Ppoles, I thought I was ordering these to try and see if I was even going to use them and, if so, to upgrade. Once I started the hike, I quickly found out how much easier the hike was, especially in hilly areas, while using these. Thinking I would buy an affordable pair and just upgrade later was a joke on me. These poles are better than some of the more expensive ones that I looked at. Although the aluminum poles are light, I had the opportunity to hold a pair of Cascade carbon poles which were even lighter but the same design. These trekking poles are an amazing product that I am sure I will be using hunting and hiking for many years to come.
