Directions

Wash your hands and remove filter from bag then flush it with cold water for 15 seconds. Hand wash the pitcher. Insert the filter into the reservoir by lining up groove in filter with notch in reservoir. Press firmly to ensure a tight seal. Add cold tap water and discard first three pitchers of water to flush out system. Replace the water filter as directed by the electronic indicator. Do not use with hot water.

I ordered the green color because as you can see, it appears sage like. It was on an extended delivery so I purposely waited just to have this color. Today I received my pitcher and the color is dark, almost forest green like. I was very disappointed and wished I had just gotten the white. Having to exchange and return was just too much of a hassle. I just wanted others to know if incase they’re interested in the green. However, fully functional and the water taste great!

I purchased this pitcher after I started increasing my water intake. At first I was drinking water straight from the tap, which was fine for a few weeks. I then began to notice that after drinking 8-16 oz of tap water at a time, I would soon get stomach aches that would last for hours on end. Not immediately realizing the association, I kept drinking the water from the tap. A friend of mine suggested I get the Brita water pitcher when I told her about my stomach pain. I ordered this one off of Amazon and I love the color, ease of use and filter quality indicator light. After using, I've not had any more stomach pain, and the water is noticeable softer and smoother.

I had another brand for years, which was okay, but there were fragile parts that would break or come apart. That company went out of business. Then I bought the Brita "Grand" 10 cup water filter pitcher and I did not like that. The design of the pitcher and handle made it hard to hold and always feel heavy and awkward. This pitcher fixes that completely!!! The fill hatch on the Grand would pop off when filling unless you were very careful and would fall off as you poured out the last bit of water in the pitcher - NOT on this one!! :) That hatch is attached on this pitcher. It also pours with a clean stream of water that makes it easy to fill things and that stream doesn't fall apart as it did on both of my previous pitchers, including the Grand. Finally, there were reviews which warned that the water ran through quickly and so they assumed it wasn't filtering well. I suspect that those users did not line up the notches. When inserting the filter, you have to be careful to line it up correctly, then push it in snugly. Of course, if it's not in all the way and doesn't seal, then yes - it won't work well, but it's easy to do it correctly if you're aware. I recommend this pitcher without reservation! What a relief!!!

The taste of the water is good, though that's more a function of the longlast filter than of the pitcher itself. It holds up to 10 cups of water -- not too much nor not enough. It is easy to fill, and the design prevents water that may have collected around the filter intake from being poured into your fresh glass. It is easy to refill, too, and is much quicker than my first Brita. I wondered if the rounded design of the pitcher would fit my refrigerator shelves, but it does.

I think the old model was called "Monterrey"? I got my First in lime green then in red.

So i obviously like this pitcher filter. (I've had them for about 6 years & the last was in dire need of replacement). They've slightly changed the design & this is more "sleek" and also a more "mature" color palette. I really like that.

Other than that - not much has changed in those years. I can assure you the back has always dripped if you overfill. I can also assure you that the indicator light is an oddly useless feature. I can also assure you this is a beautiful, functional, eco friendly, & worthwhile investment vs. Bottled water. And last assurance - if you find the right generic brita replacement filter you will pay much, much, much less for your filters and be just as happy, but keep track of how much youre filtering because they're not magic.

I highly recommend this & am happy with my new grown up model.

For some reason this color snafu seems to be prevalent on this product. Upon receiving the product in retaped packaging that read Brita Black, I was reminded that things go wrong with these shipments. After prying it out of all the extra tape, I find a dark brown version. Thankfully the correct filter was included, and dark brown matches my bronze kitchen accents, but I can't figure out how so many seem to get the wrong color. I am otherwise happy with my purchase, the pitcher is more comfortable to handle. It does fill very slowly, a small bit of unfiltered water leaks into the handle, but I can live with that.

The township water is heavy with chlorine. Makes my eyes smart to get in the shower. We have gold fish and tropical fish and even though there are tablets to eliminate the chlorine - I figure, if I won't drink it, I don't except my fish to like it either. Was purchasing six gallons a week to change several gallons in the fish tanks to keep ammonia levels down. We also have small dogs, and again, I would not offer this tap water to them, if I would not drink it myself. Therefore, was also buying bottled water for us and the dogs. Around l2 bottles a day.

Now with the Corona Virus issue we have all been dealing with, water supply at the local supermarket limits amounts we may purchase, and many times there was no water at all on the shelves. Decided to order a Brita pitcher. We keep it in the refrigerator, but bring it out during the day to warm up to room temperature.

I like the design and color of the pitcher. Nice that we can now use our tap water and have it used for more than dishes, laundry and bathroom. We can all enjoy it whether fish, dog or person. ::)

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. First of all, the water no longer has any strong chemical smell or taste. As the company recommended, I keep the pitcher in the fridge to slow down bacteria and mold growth. Then, I boil the filtered water before drinking since the pitcher filter does not give you sterile water. Please do not leave your pitcher on the counter. The filter can get moldy easily, and it's very hard to remove mold. If you don't like chilled water, just boil the water. Second, I love the long-lasting filter that's supposed to remove 99% of lead, which is more economical and efficient! I'll have to check how long this lasts though. Please note that there is the max fill indicator inside the reservoir, and you should fill the water below the line. If you fill above the line, unfiltered water will drip into the pitcher, which some reviews complained about. Overall, I am happy with this purchase :)

La jarra me ha funcionado bien por mas de 6 meses, pero desarrolló moho en una junta horizontal que se puede ver en la jarra... dificil de eliminar porque no se puede desarmar donde está esa "junta"...
