1. Verify you have the latest version of Alexa App

2. Your paired device and bulb are connected to the same 2.4G wifi network, and are within 30 ft

3. Power off light and power it back on

4. If it is still not working, please factory reset your bulb

How do I reset the light bulb?

Use a light switch to turn on and off the bulb 5 times. During the 6th power on cycle , it will flash 5 times, then flash twice softly, indicating you have successfully factory reset your light bulb, and it is ready for setup again.

What should I do if I lose the setup Barcode or Barcode scan setup fails?

You can set up you device via 2 alternative setup methods that can be found in the User Manual attached in this page down in the Product guides and documents section.

What should I do if my light bulbs appears offline or unresponsive?

1. Please make sure the light switch is powered On

2. Power off light and power it back on, wait for 1 minute and check the status

3. If all else fails, please try to reset your bulb

What should I do if I see error code (-1:-1:-1:-1) during my Alexa setup?

1. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth turned on throughout the entire setup process and the device you are trying to setup is in pairing mode.

2. Restart your device by powering it off and on, and then set up again.

I looked at several different brands of smart bulbs before chosing these. I am so happy I went with the Amazon brand. I had the bar codes all lines up ready to scan. But as soon as I turned the power on they all flashed twice and my Echo show 15 announced that they were recognized and ready to use. Took about 10 seconds to group them all together in the app and they are fully functional. Couldn't be happier!!!I also added one to my hallway and will be ordering more for the bedroom.

We have it installed in our hallway, it is a great light to be used as night light. Since it has dimming feature. It is very easy to install and works great with Alexa dot. Just say Alexa change my hallway light to purple color. Since it has multi colors. No issues in connectivity. You can also set routines to turn off or on using Alexa.

These were purchased before a vacation in order to make our house look occupied. I didn’t really have time to set up any type of routine in the Alexa app, so I can’t speak to that in particular. However, I purchased these to be already linked to my Amazon Amazon account, and set up was so easy. I’m aware that there are some other brands that are a few dollars cheaper, and may be as easy to set up, but for the price difference, I felt like this was likely to be the least amount of hassle. And, they were. Literally, scan with your phone, link it in the Alexa app, and you’re done. While we were away, I would just open the app every so often in the evening to turn on or off a few lights in the house, making it look like somebody was going into an out of rooms. It was around the same time of night each evening, but not on an exact, timed schedule. I thought that seemed most realistic. The Alexa app may have a random feature that allows you to have things operated in a particular time range, but I don’t know that. I still need to investigate the app more thoroughly, but on the surface it’s quite easy to use. What is nice, is that if we are planning to be home before dark, but take longer than anticipated, I can open the app and turn on our porch lights and some inside lights remotely. I can also ask Alexa on our fire TV cube to turn on the bedroom light before we head to bed. That way, when I turn off the other lights in the living room and family room there is already a light leading our way to the bedroom. Pretty nice. These are great.

Wow, I like these. I never write reviews. So I bought echo pop on special, but when you looked down the page certain colors could get a free one of these light bulbs with them. Sounded great to me. Then there was a little box where it asked if you wanted it paired with your other appliances and of course yes. It arrived. I placed the light bulb in the light fixture and turned on the light fixture. Less than ten seconds later my phone responded and it paired, without my doing anything with the closest Alexa. It totally works and I had to physically do absolutely nothing. I didn’t even have to activate the phone. Mind you it did not pair with the new Alexa appliance but the Alexa already in the room, which is great. That is what you want it to do. Great! Maybe five seconds to work!

Amazon Basics Smart A19 LED Light Bulb, red, green, blue, white. color changing, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 7.5 W 60W. These smart bulbs were recommended to me by my Husband. He said it quickly paired and connected to our existing Alexa account. We have echo dots and the Alexa app on our phones and Ipads. With this bulb setup was so easy and we did not have to worry about passcodes for internet/wifi etc and rapid blinking light etc. It’s like they figured out all the problems of setting up smart bulbs and made is a seamless process. Again we already have Alexa setup in our home. If you have and Echo dot or other Echo voice device you can operate a light with voice commands or you can use your device with Alexa app. I can be in bed and say “Alexa turn off bedroom light”. There’s many great color choices and dimming functions. These are the only smart bulbs I will buy now.
