I'm somewhat of a bag hoarder/collector and decided to pull the trigger on this bag after it was on sale and I'm really glad I did. I've purchased a bunch of travel backpacks from Peak Design, Aer, Osprey, etc. and I keep going back to this one for a few reason,
-Lightweight while being resilient: There are more durable options for fabric from other companies but for me this bag hits the sweet spot for a lighter weight bag with acceptable abrasion resistance.
-Simple Design: Bucket style hold with four compression straps and a separate back compartment for laptop, documents, and wires/valuables. Also has a front pocket for quick access (you can fit a lot but I recommend not putting things in the front pocket until after the main compartment is filled as the content in the main bag will dictate how much that front pocket can hold as things push against it) and a small pocket at the top nice for storing airpods, sunglasses, etc. I also like that it doesn't have a sternum strap but consider that when purchasing this if you do prefer one for weight distribution. The two water bottle pockets are also nice because they're so deep and not transparent like mesh but I used it more so for storing additional masks, or just throwing in change.
I highly recommend using packing cubes or organizer with this bag though.
So far it has survived multiple 3-14 day excursions, and 5 national parks.

Nice looking bag. Can get heavy if carried on back for an extended time.
I really like this bag. I purchased it for a 3 day trip that I needed room for 1 set of dress clothes, 3 sets of normal day clothes, toiletries, my coffee set up (travel aeropress and travel electric kettle), a water bottle, my 13 inch MacBook, and an 8 inch tablet and keyboard.What I liked about this bag was that I could fit everything in it…though it was packed full! There’s a separate section for my laptop and tablet that’s well padded and protected. The bag is advertised to be able to leave your laptop in the bag while going through tsa, but I was advised to remove mine because I had both a laptop and tablet in the same section. I didn’t argue. Maybe it was just the person I dealt with, but they didn’t want to let me leave it in the bag. The bag is nice looking. I intended to carry it on, but my first flight asked for me to check it because the flight was full. If you look at the first picture you can see the front of the bag took on some signs of wear from that first use. On my flight back I held on to it and had no issues with scuff marks.The side pockets are not very deep, which makes it feel like your water bottles may not be the most secure. I had no issues with this at all. I used a 20 oz insulated bottle that I use for both my coffee and water needs. A bigger bottle may not fit…especially if you have the bag filled to capacity.You can see in my third picture how the bag looks when you open up the back section for your laptop/tablet area. In the fourth picture I opened up the left side so you can see how easy it is to get into the section with your clothes/toiletries/etc…from that position. This feature came in handy because the top of the bag with the duffle style zipper opening ended up getting a snag and the zipper got stuck. It took a lot of effort for me to get the zipper to unzip all the way past that snag. The last picture shows the snag. This was the very first time I used this bag and I can assure you I did not do anything to cause damage to the zipper. This is something I might be worried about with future use.Finally, at the end of my trip I had a long walk to get to my connecting flight at Chicago O’Hare airport. My guess is it was at least a mile of walking. I may have been exhausted from traveling, but my bag was feeling pretty heavy as I made my way to the gate. The straps were hurting my shoulders and though with some adjustments it lessened, it was still quite noticeable. I did not have to carry it for such a long distance on my first day of travel and I did not have any issues with the shoulder straps causing discomfort at that time. So, keep that in mind.
