Mercedes McQueen and Lindsey Butterfield row at Phoebe's hospital bedside in Hollyoaks' E4 first look episode tonight (June 10).
The former friends clash as Lindsey (Sophie Austin) continues to provide updates on Phoebe's condition after the shooting, warning that the news isn't good.
Lindsey believes that she needs to prepare the McQueen family for the worst, so she explains that Phoebe may never be the same again even if she does regain consciousness.
As Lindsey explains the possible consequences if Phoebe has brain damage, she hints that it may be kinder if she passes away peacefully - but Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) is appalled by her defeatist attitude.
Mercedes feels that Lindsey can't understand what she's going through, unaware of the Butterfield sisters' secret past with their other sibling Kath. Is Lindsey letting her own pain affect her judgement on Phoebe's case?
