Role Summary:
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for defining marketing strategy and brand development in order to effectively grow user base and engagement. The Director will also work very closely with CBS Network to ensure alignment of goals around programming.  This individual will report directly to the SVP & GM of Digital Platforms.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the development, execution and measurement of marketing programs that may include site promotions, digital advertising on owned and paid channels, e-mail, social media, live events and on-air.
Drive and manage creative process to marketing goals and work with various internal teams and negotiate deals with external agencies to deliver them. Provide creative direction, define message and ensure brand consistency for consumer marketing programs, events and digital products.
Drive internal and external marketing communication, brand support and integration between CBS Interactive and CBS Television Network priorities. Work collaboratively with network marketing team, PR and cross functional groups to ensure there is a strong digital presence around major network priorities.
Build social buzz for show launches via fan acquisition campaigns, amplification, and live events. Maintain ongoing communication with sales leads at social media partners.
Oversee event management and logistics from ideation to execution. 
Define budgets, objectives, and strategic opportunities, evaluate proposals, and ensure CBS brand consistency and integrity across paid channels.
Develop marketing campaigns for ad sales pitches and oversee execution of sold campaigns to deliver against sales commitments.
Analyze performance data and apply learnings to enhance campaign delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 8 years of experience in Entertainment or Digital Marketing.
Experience managing, developing and coaching teams
Experience with understanding social trends, tools and practices
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, challenged by accountability, and an innovator.

Must successfully pass a background check.  In addition, CBS will be guided by applicable federal, state and local laws when considering for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and understanding in entertainment brands and TV business calendar
Experience with CRM/email marketing programs and tactics
