Atari Jaguar

Atari Jaguar
There was a time when Atari ruled the roost in the console world, but by the time of the Atari Jaguar in 1993 the likes of Nintendo and Sega were already beginning to dominate. The Jaguar was billed as the first 64-bit system and was expected to blow the SNES and Mega Drive away – but bad launch games and the arrival of the Sony PlayStation saw not just the Jaguar’s life ended after an estimated 2 million sales, but brought the end of Atari consoles. You may not be surprised that it remains a cult console with a dedicated fan-base that develop ‘home-brew’ games for it.
