My last juicer snapped in my hand, and was a pain to use. This one is so much easier.

I had a cheap plastic standard juicer before this one and was squeezing limes to make a pitcher of margaritas, and after number 9 or 10 with some pretty hefty squeezes, the plastic handle snapped, I almost cracked our nice glass pitcher I was juicing into, and I got a laceration on my thumb.

We were at a party at someone else's house and they let me use theirs (which was this one) and it was so much easier. This unit is geared and has much longer/sturdier handles, so it doesn't take much effort at all to squeeze every drop of juice out of a lemon/lime/orange. I immediately got on my phone and bought my own, and haven't looked back.

This particular one (the orange one) is quite large, and can't fit in the drawer like the old one does, but the ease of use of it is worth putting it somewhere else in the kitchen. I can't explain in words how much easier this is to use than one of the cheaper ones without gears (especially the plastic versions).

I love lime. I love it in my marinades, I love it in many of my soups, too. But, I always hated squeezing my own on one of those old fashion juicers. No more! This tool is among the very best kitchen utensils I've ever owned or used next to my knives and my garlic press. This juicer is superb and will extract every bit of precious juice from your limes or lemons, even those little tiny hard barley ripe ones we so often have to settle for at the grocery store. It just works. Perios. You slice the fruit in half, open the tool, put one half of the fruit (peel side down) then close the tool and squeeze. The ratcheting feature will ensure you waste no juice at all. Then you pop it open, peel the remaining fruit off the tool and discard (or add to potpourri dish) and repeat for remaining half of fruit. Once you have all the juice you need, rinsing the tools well under the tap couldn't be easier. It now ready for the next time. It's heavy construction from high quality materials make this a fantastic tool for any kitchen. Strongly recommended!

I bought this juicer to replace one I bought previously on Amazon. It got the job done, but was less well-made than this superior Chef’n one. I should have known as all of the Chef’n products we own are well-made and this one appears to be no different. It’s solid, sturdy and built to last as evidenced by the way the gear wheel squeezes so fluidly. It’s clearly engineered well. The use of the metal plate also seems to extract every last bit of juice from lemons and limes which bodes well for margaritas. Chef’n products may cost a bit more sometimes (look for sales/deals), but they last a long time and it looks like this juicer will too.

I like this a lot. I’m a Bartender and this juicer gets used an all day every day in my world. The way it works gets much more juice out of the fruit but beware, the plastic handle didn’t last very long on the first one. I will be more careful with this one. I like this one because it’s not “painted”. I’ve owned the other kind of juicer and the acid from the fruit will break down the yellow or green paint over time, then you’re left with “paint chips” in your food/ drinks.

Use mine daily and have been so impressed with this that I have bought several people this as a gift. Excellent for squeezing lemons for salad dressings and limes for cocktails. On that note, they make a green one for limes. I recommend just buying one and buy the yellow lemon one that has a slightly larger pressing basket, meaning you can use it for both. I will never use anything else but this.
