Comcast customers looking to save a few bucks on their streaming services are in luck.
The company is introducing a streaming bundle next week that combines three of the major streamers — Netflix, Apple TV+ and Peacock — for $15 per month, TVLine has learned. Dubbed Xfinity StreamSaver, the bundle will be available to new and existing Xfinity Internet and TV customers. (Peacock is part of the corporate family, since it’s the streaming service for Comcast’s NBCUniversal.)
New and existing customers can also combine that bundle with NOW TV, offering them 40+ live TV channels in addition to the three streaming services, for $30 per month.
“StreamSaver is a homerun for consumers who want top-tier entertainment and live sports, and for our
world-class partners Peacock, Netflix and Apple who benefit from the reach and depth of our
entertainment platforms and Xfinity’s marketing engine,” Dave Watson, CEO of Connectivity and
Platforms for Comcast, says in a statement. “StreamSaver also reinforces the value of our broadband products, offering customers new ways to save money on streaming entertainment via the nation’s best and most reliable network in and out of the home.”
The news comes on the heels of Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery announcing their own streaming bundle that will combine Disney+, Hulu and Max, with a launch eyed for this summer. The exact launch date and pricing for that bundle are still to be determined, but Warner Bros. Discovery global streaming chief JB Perrette says it “will be priced very attractively for consumers.”

Lets just sign up for Cable. SMH
But that’s because cable actually worked for everyone despite what all parties but especially the customers claimed at the time. We are getting to the point now where monthly spend on streaming is pushing upto cable prices and the streaming services are all still losing vast amounts of money and the content producers are also making less. Prices are just going to have to keep going up. It’s easier for everyone to make more money when everyone subs but they get much less per customer that way and that then actually keeps the costs for everyone down. Streaming was always going to end up where you pay one company to provide you access to all services at a lower rate
I’m getting rid of Comcast tomorrow and will save because silly me had cable plus the streaming services because of their original programming and no commericals. So going with YouTubeTV and my streaming services I save. LOL
It should be free. I pay 300.00 mow
I’d be curious to know what tier of Peacock is being offered in the bundle. The free version of Peacock that is made available to Comcast customers currently is basically useless- you can’t watch anything worthwhile without upgrading to the higher tiers.
The premium with ads tier is free to Comcast customers as part of Xfinity rewards.
It’s the same thing with Netflix now – if you have the ad-supported version there’s a whole bunch of stuff you can’t watch. It’s super annoying.
In the Netflix case, the locked programming is locked because those contracts predate streaming with ads and apparently wven specify that they *can’t* be shown with ads. It’s likely that they’ll all show up in the ads tier when the contract expires and new agreements are made with those studios.
Based on current prices, to get all 3 services is ~$32 assuming lowest tier with no Ads. My guess is the bundle will probably end up around $20-25.
I won’t go for that bc I’m paying that with Netflix and Peacock (Peacock with ads) that’s a TERRIBLE DEAL)
The worst thing about cable TV was dealing with giant companies like Comcast (or one of their “competitors,” depending on which provider had a service monopoly in your area) — which combined ever-rising prices with terrible customer service. I cut the cord long ago, and switched to an over-the-airways DVR + streaming. specifically NOT to have to deal with these corporations.
There were two things that drove the cost of the ever increasing cable rates. Sports is the most expensive content on cable, and the lack of competition was also a huge factor..
In smaller communities it got even worse, because cable companies were less likely to bid for contracts covering smaller communities.
Who can blame people for not wanting to pay for what they don’t watch? Streaming hasn’t changed that. I have signed up for a couple of streaming services and there just isn’t much there, there Especially with the extremely short seasons usually running somewhere around ten episodes.
Save more with YouTube no DVR cost period!
Yes I’ve had Comcast for years please quote the price and maybe
Since I already get Peacock for free on Comcast, the deal would have be significantly good to get me to pay for a bundle especially since there would probably be all sorts of “gotchas”.
Comcast pays my Netflix & the ads supported Peacock as well. My thought is the “gotcha” will be that Comcast takes those “freebies” away so that I will have a much larger bill than I currently pay! Like they need more of my money to survive ugh
If it’s the no-ads tier and a good price, I’d get it. We currently get Peacock (with ads) for free with Comcast but subscribe separately to Apple TV+ and no-ads Netflix. I wouldn’t want to watch Netflix with ads.
Comcast is on one hand a terrific one-stop internet service provider. It is also one of the most cumbersome and fragmented companies for anyone to deal with, particularly if you’re a discerning spender of your family’s income. They are very difficult to properly contact, and rarely help when trying to SAVE money …. so pardon me if I don’t fawn over this “fantastic offer”. I can guarantee I will not be able bring our bill down a penny without giving SOMETHING up, and I routinely spend 3 + hours every couple of months trying to figure out their offers to try to cut our enormous bill. It is ALWAYS a pitch. Every time.
Amen!!!
Try going in to one of their stores if you have one nearby. They gave me a really great deal. They can find plans that aren’t listed on their website.
@ JJ
.
Earlier this week I made the trek to the closest Xfinity store and it paid off bigtime for me. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and what I didn’t and showed them a printout of my current internet bill (since I only use Xfinity for internet but no other services.) Ended up with download/upload speeds doubled, zero modem fee, unlimited data (most important to me) and still kept Peacock Premium via their Rewards program. Cut my monthly bill from $116 to $45 and the very best part – absolutely no sales pitches/no hassles whatsoever! CS rep just asked a few questions about my data usage and then offered a deal better than anything advertised online or via phone chats. It all took less than 10 minutes and I am so thrilled🪻
Comcast is still far better than Spectrum. Spectrum’s customer service is brutal to deal with.
SPECTRUM is in TOO MUCH FORCE HERE!!!! I’ve been gone a LONG TIME FROM THEM!!!!
Already have MAX, Peacock, and Amazon Prime, more than enough to watch as it is.
Depends on if I have to watch through Comcast, or if I can still watch individually through Netflix/Peacock/Apple apps on my firestick… (which seems likely, as currently with Peacock I can watch my comcast-peacock account through the peacock app)
Oh, and also if I can keep my Netflix profile/watch history
So this is useless to the majority of us that do not have Xfinity? Nothing useful here to most of us.
The article doesn’t mention, but I found another article that does. Here are the tiers being offered:
Peacock Premium (with ads), Netflix Basic (with ads) and Apple TV+
Peacock $5.99
Netflix $6.99
Apple TV $9.99
Total $22.97, a savings of $8/month. You need to be a Comcast customer already and want the ad-version of the two services that have ads, plus want all 3 services to make it really worthwhile. Apple TV and Peacock both offer discounted plans if you wait for a deal. I don’t feel like I’m missing out here, but it’ll probably be good for somebody.
Also I think it’s helpful to create a new article when there’s a big update like this. The comment section is full of comments from last week – that usually makes people asking questions look foolish when it has been updated with new information.
Plus Peacock Premium is already included free with Xfinity anyway.
Thank you, I assumed these were the ad versions and was wondering why this wasn’t stated in the article.
I pay for Netflix with no ads and it’s not really worth it to me to add this – might be a good way for people to sample the services if they don’t mind the commercials.
Source please
It’s the new cable!
The $15 monthly fee (I’m assuming that’s with ads) isn’t too bad. However, the only things I watch on Peacock are Top Chef (ending soon) and the English Premier League soccer (on summer break). I’ve never seen anything on Apple TV that intrigued me enough to subscribe. I only get Netflix periodically to catch up on shows. Even then, I’m not rushing to watch new episodes of Queer Eye, Is it Cake? or Nailed It. Netflix has tons of content, but it’s quantity over quality now. It might not be worth changing over to in the long run. Waiting to see what the Max/Disney/Hulu bundle will include (adding ESPN back in might help) but if it’s too expensive, I will probably just stick with Max which comes w/my ATT internet hookup. If streaming starts costing as much as cable (which I cut the cord on over a decade ago) it’s not going to work for me much longer. I might wind up reading a lot more books instead.
AppleTV+ might not have alot of shows that instantly jump out as much watch BUT the quality of its content is probably the best overall. I try to give every show they put out a couple of episodes and even the ones that didn’t click with me the quality of the productions is almost always good and often excellent, well shot, well written and well acted. And there has been a fair number that haven’t seemed like something I think I would like but have been excellent. It’s certainly service worth getting for a month every so often and giving shows atleast the pilot and you will almost certainly find a good number of shows you really enjoy
I already get Netflix at a deeply discounted rate through my phone plan, and while I also have Peacock, I have no interest in Apple TV+. I’ll pass, but hopefully this offers an affordable option for others out there. Though it’ll be interesting how that’s gonna work with Netflixs password sharing crackdown.
What is the difference between Comcast. and XFinity? I can’t tell when it comes to paying bills and when I lose my cable as a result of a storm.
They are basically the same thing. Comcast is the company and Xfinity is the branding for cable/Internet/phone.
I’m still confused. I currently have ad-free Peacock and would like to know what this bundle would cost for the ad-free version. Also, my cable is through Spectrum because it is currently the only cable provider in my area. Does that disqualify me? Any help or guidance would be deeply appreciated.
Get YOU TUBETV you can get all the channels Spectrum has and MORE for cheaper plus cut out the DVR’s bc you can record on clouds your material will be saved on there. We have Peacock and Netflix separate from this, I would try these streaming services to see if you like them. Netflix is the best I would put Peacock second but you should try them out on a free trial to see if you would like. I get Spectrum control, IT WAS TERRIBLE UNTIL I CUT THE CORD just keep the internet until someone does come around unfortunately.
Thank you, friend! I will check out YouTube, I wasn’t aware that they offered all that Spectrum has. I already have Peacock and like it. I also have Paramount+ and Prime. I wish some competition would come into upstate New York, like Fios or another cable company.
We have NowTv, peacok and Netflix, so to add apple TV to that, at that great price. We will be signing up for it. Thanks Comcast!
