NIA questions Nanded man picked up in Rameshwaram Cafe blast case

HYDERABAD: The National Investigation Agency’s Bengaluru branch has picked up a Nanded-based businessman from Vikarabad district on Tuesday in connection with the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case.
The man, in his fifties, was an old offender and even got convicted in a case in Karnataka. He is currently residing in Nanded district of Maharashtra and is into fruit business, confirmed sources.
NIA also confirmed that they are carrying out searches across different states in connection with the case.
As per the sources, as a part of its ongoing investigation, the NIA has been questioning several persons in different states. This includes old offenders involved in similar cases, including those convicted and even completed their prison sentence also.
In this connection, they found the details of the businessman and a team was deputed to pick him from Nanded for questioning. But, the businessman had travelled to Vikarabad from where a team picked him up.
Further details about his connections, if any, with the blast or the conspiracy or the arrested accused, would be known only after completion of the questioning, said sources.
