• Brightspace, Our New Learning Management System, Is Up and Running!
  
  The College has transitionsed to a new Learning Management System, Brightspace, which will make teaching and learning much simpler and efficient. This new LMS is more user-friendly, reliable and flexible, and should save us all time as we got about the business of education.  Inevitably, there will be a period of adjustment as we are becoming familiar with our new LMS, so here are some useful resources.

• Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Hostos Student Jae’oni Davis Earns Prestigious CUNY Athletic Conference Award
  
  
  Yesterday, May 16, Hostos Community College student Jae'oni Davis was recognized at the 37th CUNY Athletic Conference Annual Michael Steuerman Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner, held at Terrace on the Park in Queens, where she received recognition as the 2024 CUNYAC Community College Student-Athlete of the Year. 

• From IDEAS to ADELANTE: Hostos Research Center Mini-Conference Showcases the Impact of Internal Grants

  On Tuesday, May 14, Hostos Community College held its first-ever Hostos Research Center (HRC) Mini-Conference, which showcased the work and experiences of HRC-funded ADELANTE and IDEAS grants recipients. Between 2022-2023, 22 ADELANTE and 15 IDEAS grants were awarded to 38 faculty and staff members, and over 30 students engaged as research assistants.
